Brooke Levin – Finance

Most of Brooke’s career has been at Stonecutter, having joined as its first employee in 2013. Her responsibilities have grown steadily with her now extensive experience to include tax, accounting, financial reporting, cash management, data management, and human resources.  In this capacity, she developed much of the firm’s financial and operational infrastructure, making her instrumental in its growth and integral to its processes. Brooke worked at Rialto Capital Management and CoStar Group before Stonecutter. She holds a B.B.A. in Finance/Real Estate from Emory University – Goizueta Business School.

Meredith Graves – Multifamily Portfolio Management

Meredith evaluates new investments, takes the decisions arising out of asset management, and implements the resulting transactions – acquisitions, dispositions, and financings. She is primarily responsible for overseeing the multifamily business.  Before joining Stonecutter in 2022, Meredith had 15+ years of prior experience in real estate transactions, investor relations, and property management roles with Hawthorne Residential, Bell Partners, and Gables Residential. She is unique in having both financial and multifamily operational expertise. Meredith holds a B.A. in Business Communications and French from University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Chris Bussjager – Asset Management

Chris has overseen the asset management function at Stonecutter since 2015, implementing business plans to drive investment performance since. He also handles most special situations.  His previous experience included over two decades of day-to-day asset management of regional malls, from acquisition through disposition, first for Morgan Stanley Real Estate (and its predecessor entities) and then at an Atlanta based developer. Chris holds a B.S. in Accounting from Auburn University and a CPA license with the State of Georgia.

C. Thomson “Tommy” Wells – Investor Relations and Asset Management

In his investor relations capacity, Tommy interacts day-to-day with Stonecutter’s investors.  In his asset management capacity, Tommy reviews the financial reporting for all multifamily assets, interacts with third party property managers, and works directly with on-site personal as needed.  Tommy was a senior manager with Situs Realty Services before founding Wells & Associates, a commercial real estate asset advisory firm that examined over $15 billion in commercial mortgage loans on all asset types. He holds a B.B.A. in Real Estate Finance from Texas Tech University.

James Santoro – Operations and Stonecutter Family Office

Jim has organizational responsibility for Stonecutter’s operations and runs the Stonecutter Family Office. In addition, Jim serves as asset manager for several non-multifamily investments.  Before coming to Stonecutter, Jim worked for nearly two decades at two multinational financial institutions as managing director and head of liquidity. Jim holds a B.A. in English from Villanova University and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
